Who we are and what we believe

St. Saviour’s Glen Osmond is located on the corner of Portrush Road and the beginning of the SE Freeway, with a large steeple that dominates the skyline as you leave metropolitan Adelaide into the Adelaide Hills.

The church has a strong principle of building community and with being in fellowship with each other through God’s love for us. We offer an opportunity to be with God and His Son Jesus Christ through the beauty of worship, prayer, hearing God’s Word, in sharing in Holy Communion and in music with a choir.

We long to see more people come to faith, in understanding who Jesus Christ is as the Son of God, in having a relationship with Him. We believe we are all on a spiritual journey and that God wants us all to be given the gift of the Holy Spirit which empowers us to live a life that He wants from us.

St Saviour’s is a welcoming and supportive place for anyone who comes along, no matter where you are at in your journey in life. We are here to enable you to be welcomed into our community of faith who have already discovered the love of God in us, and through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We believe that the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ two thousand years ago demonstrates God’s love for humanity, by sending Him to live as one of us and to show how us as we should live our lives. Jesus spoke of all of us having to be born again through water and the Spirit, that is in receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit through baptism, so that we could all live with Christ within us and have that promise of life thereafter.

St Saviour, which is another term for Jesus Christ who is our Saviour, is a place where people are welcomed, where we can grow in faith and be spiritually nourished, in sharing a spiritual meal together through Holy Communion.

We welcome you at any time to visit our church at the Sunday Services at 8 am and 10 am and on weekdays on Tuesdays at 8:30 am, Wednesdays at 10 am and Thursdays at 7.30 am. We also offer a children’s ministry at the 10 am service on Sunday and bible studies during the year.
